The challenge

To integrate a new web based application into an existing site built on old technology that was coming to end-of-life.

HR staff had no easy way to manage and track applications through to the end of the process, and were using spreadsheets and emails to track progress.

There was also a requirement to provide customisable email templates for IT staff.

What we did

Created custom C# API and Angular UI web apps to provide a modern application UI and backend architecture.
Integrated with Azure AD for application security and allowed staff access using their existing Microsoft 365 credentials.
Provided customisable email templates for IT staff to modify when changes were required.

The impact

Staff can approve, change the status of, or reject applications from a simple web interface.
Staff members are notified of application changes.
Jobs can easily be posted or removed.
Applicants receive an automatic notification when the status of their application changes.
Duplicate files have been removed from the email system.
Applicant status emails can be easily customised by IT staff.
